Twestival will be making a return to Portland on September 12, 2009. The theme this time around is Twestival Local. Instead of one central charity, each city will be selecting a local charity to raise funding for.

We want to reignite the passion that was around during the first Twestival. There was a great sense of  hope that by coming together, we were helping to make the world a better place. That was something really powerful, and it came with very tangible benefits for charity:water. Globally we raised over $250,000 for the development of clean water wells in third world countries. That money changed a lot of lives.

We’re getting involved again because we believe we can do even better than that this time round. Let’s get involved and make this an amazing success for Portland.
